The AADM End School to Prison Pipeline (ESTPP) Program The AADM End School to Prison Pipeline (ESTPP) Program is a transformative initiative designed to empower youth and combat the systemic factors that contribute to juvenile incarceration and high school dropout rates, particularly among Black and minority students. Through workshops, summer camps, and advocacy for policy change, the program equips students with the tools to build self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and understand their rights as juveniles.
By engaging students, parents, and educators, ESTPP seeks to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline and keep students on a path toward long-term success and positive impact in their communities.
The program offers three foundational pillars:
1. Summer Camp: A one-week immersive experience designed to inspire and educate youth in a supportive environment. Including hands-on activities, music and performing arts lessons, participants build confidence, and learn to use creative expression to promote messages of justice. The camp encourages teamwork, civic engagement, and offers travel opportunities to broaden horizons and expose youth to new experiences, fostering leadership and personal growth. Students will have an opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned at the end of the program.
Summercamp REQUIREMENTS:
Cover summer camp cost $50 per week. 2025 Application fee waived. Apply for scholarship, if needed.
Attend summer camp orientation. Both student & parent (or) guardian must attend orientation.
Parent/guardian must provide transportation– or apply for transportation voucher.
2. AADM’s Workshops and Advocacy for Policy Changes. These workshops provide practical tools to support student success, promote restorative justice practices, and empower families and educators to advocate for policy changes that reduce juvenile incarceration and dropout rates. Together, we can create pathways for lasting change and opportunity.
3. ESTPP Annual Conference: Beyond direct service, the program leads efforts to drive systemic change by advocating for policy reforms that dismantle punitive discipline practices in schools. The annual ESTPP Conference serves as a critical platform for educators, activists, and policymakers to collaborate, share best practices, and commit to actionable reforms that will end the school-to-prison pipeline.
Together, these pillars provide mentorship, career opportunities, and educational reform strategies to help break the cycle of incarceration by addressing issues like systemic racism, poverty, and punitive discipline policies in schools.
Please consider donating to the ESTPP Program and join us in breaking the school-to-prison pipeline, one young person at a time.
Together, we can empower the next generation to succeed and thrive.
