Do you own a business or know someone who does? We’re launching a storytelling campaign to shift the narrative around business ownership, and we want to hear from you!

Entrepreneurship isn’t just for the privileged few—it’s a powerful path to economic empowerment and community wealth-building for people of all backgrounds. We’re amplifying the voices of business owners from marginalized communities in Athens, especially those who have overcome systemic barriers to build successful ventures.

Your story matters! By sharing your journey, you can inspire others, highlight the importance of equitable access to resources, and help reshape the future of entrepreneurship in our city.

Submission Guidelines:

• We encourage submissions from business owners who identify as Black, Latinx, immigrant, or other historically marginalized communities.
• Your story will help shed light on the challenges and successes of business ownership, and how you’ve built your venture despite obstacles.
• Stories can include personal reflections, lessons learned, and the impact your business has had on your community.
• Selected stories will be featured in our campaign materials, website, and social media.

Deadline to submit your story, October 15th. The top 10 stories will be selected.
