Athens, Ga- Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Athens MLK Jr. Day Parade and Music Festival held Monday, January 16th, 2023 in Downtown Athens, Georgia. What’s different? Festivities will start at 12noon; includes live performances, vendors, a children fun area and much more. The parade begins at 3pm on the corner of Hull/Washington Street (near the historic Morton Theater). This event is brought to you by the United Group of Artists Music Association (UGAMA) and partnering non-profit Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM).
Everyone is welcome to participate with positive messaging. Organizers invite individuals and organizations from all surrounding counties including Barrow, Jackson, Oconee, and Madison. Schools, small businesses, nonprofits, churches, dance teams, mobile vehicles, and various organizations.
