Athens, Georgia-January 14, 2019- United Group of Artists and Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement non-profit 501(c)3 partner is honored to host the 3rd Annual Athens MLK Day Parade a
Pre-festivities will begin January 20th at the Foundry with Athens in Harmony Concert Duo, doors open 6 pm. The celebrated concert Athens in Harmony is back for its fourth year to honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy and to acknowledge the work that still needs to done. The concert, a benefit for the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement, is designed to improve race relations and break racial barriers within our community.
January 21st, 2019, Athens MLK Day Parade and Music Fest starts at 3 pm. Parade participates and vendors check-in 1:30 pm in front of Morton Theater 195 W. Washington St, Athens, GA 30601. Parade participates must walk in groups of 5 or more and encouraged to create signage promoting a positive cause or message. An honoree ceremony will be held following the parade. Opening musical performance by Daniel Elder and Fredric Creamer
4:00 pm Music fest and Club Crawl begins at selected locations including
