The Athens-Anti Discrimination Movement organized a rally on June 23, starting at the Arch before marching to City Hall. A localized version of the poor people’s campaign being held in Washington, D.C., the movement advocated for economic justice. The march was led by AADM President Mokah Johnson and was attended by about 50 community members, including state representative Deborah Gonzalez, District 3 Commissioner Melissa Link, District 9 Commissioner-elect Ovita Thornton and State Senate candidate for District 47 Dawn Johnson.
