Join the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) on Tuesday, July 7th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Confederate monument downtown on Broad Street! 

AADM is continuing our fight for racial justice by restating our demands for local law enforcement and engaging in a community conversation about what we’d like to see in place of the Confederate monument. We will reclaim this space and address the true history of the confederacy.

In memory of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Atatiana Jefferson, Elijah McClain, and countless others who have lost their lives at the hands of police brutality or vigilantes, we will be placing signs with their names around the monument to remind our community why we fight.

This is a socially distanced march, so please be mindful of personal space and wear your masks!
