Each year, Knowa and Mokah Jasmine Johnson of the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) join forces with Pat Priest to present Athens in Harmony, an uplifting benefit concert celebrating unity and diversity through music. This year’s event is set for 7 PM on Sunday, February 23rd, at the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center.
Pat Priest shared her excitement about the upcoming show, saying, “This concert will be the best yet, with soaring performances from an incredible lineup of artists.”
The concert’s unique format pairs musicians from diverse backgrounds—spanning rock, hip-hop, gospel, soul, and more—across lines of race, ethnicity, and genre to perform heartfelt duets. The evening concludes with a powerful audience sing-along of John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance”, featuring original verses by local hip-hop artists, leaving everyone inspired and united.
