including a Community Discussion on Pre-Election Anxiety & Taking Action
Athens, Georgia— With the 2024 elections just around the corner, the stakes couldn’t be higher for the future of our communities and our nation. To explore why this election is so crucial, we invite you to join an insightful Candidate Discussion featuring local candidates Eric Gisler for Georgia State House District 121, Melanie Miller for Georgia State House District 124, Gareth Fenley for Georgia State Senate District 46, Conolus Scott for Georgia State Senate District 47, Kalki Yalamanchili Candidate for District Attorney, and Incumbent District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez.
This important event will take place on October 29th via Zoom, giving voters the opportunity to hear directly from these candidates about their platforms, visions for the future, and why they believe the 2024 election could be a turning point for Georgia and the nation.
Prior to the candidate discussion, we will host a Community Discussion on Pre-Election Anxiety and Taking Action. As election season intensifies, many community members are feeling the weight of pre-election stress. This space will provide an opportunity to discuss these concerns, share coping strategies, and turn anxiety into meaningful action.
Why Attend? This is your chance to engage with local candidates, learn about their positions on critical issues, and understand how the 2024 elections will shape our future. The event also offers a supportive space to address election-related anxieties and strategize how we can collectively take positive action to ensure high voter turnout and active civic participation.
