On February 4th, the Athens Clarke County Mayor and Commissioners tabled the resolution addressing racial inequities proposed by the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement, opting for a 60-day extension to develop an ordinance leaving our community at a standstill. Whether or not they support this resolution, we cannot let them off the hook. They claimed this resolution wasn’t enough and promised enforceable ordinances—and we must hold them accountable!
