Athens, Ga-Let’s celebrate the vision of justice, equality and honor those who make a difference in our community. Join the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement on Sunday, November 11th, 6-9 pm for AADM Social Justice Awards and Fundraiser to celebrate our dedication to social, racial justice, and civic engagement. This event will be held at the VFW 835 Sunset Drive, Athens, Ga (no longer at the Foundry).
What to expect? A night of empowerment, dancing, live performances, complimentary food, raffle, and prizes. Guest speakers include NAACP President Alvin Sheats and Commissioner Tim Denson. Performances by LG “The Heart of Classic City”, Foreign, Caroline Aiken, Andreana Williams, and Chanice the RNB Vocalist. Music by DJ Blaq Star and hosted by Mokah Jasmine Johnson. In addition, AADM Board Members will honor individuals for their hard work and commitment to community service or social justice in the following categories:
