The AADM Recruiting for Diversity and Inclusion workshop helps attendees analyze how to build a more welcoming environment for staff and customers; improve their company’s diversity and inclusion recruiting processes and attract a diverse talent pool. The AADM D/I training sessions are geared to advance diversity, inclusion, and cultural intelligence within the workplace.
This next session will be held February 23, 2019, 9-12:30 pm at Athens Chamber of Commerce.
Participants will have a safe space to discuss tough issues surrounding race, culture and diversity issues. Incorporates group discussions, activities and includes opportunities to explore personal and structural biases.
Workshop topics include:
Implicit vs Unconscious Bias
How to create a more welcoming environment to benefit customers and employees
Microaggressions: How is your business “coming off” to others?
Recruiting and Attraction: Develop an effective strategy to attract and engage diverse groups to meet the needs of your organization
Screening: Build a non-offensive pre-screening/screening process that ensures diversity and enhances the quality of hires
Selection: respects all candidates, and ensure your recruitment process attracts, engages, and identify the best candidates for the position
Break-out session: Create a diversity and inclusion plan of action and review current policies: includes cultural competence assessment.
