45 min-strategic planning session for AADM “Voters Education Tour 2019”
Throughout the Get on the Bus and Voters Drivers, AADM members and volunteers knocked on over 500 doors and drove numerous citizens to the polls. It was a great experience but we also learned that “knocking on doors isn’t enough, we must continuously educate, interact, and encourage citizens to vote during and after elections.”
Voters rights are under attack and minority citizens are and will be impacted the most by various governmental policies. Voter suppression laws and miseducation have caused distrust, lack of involvement and the goal of this meeting is to inform, provide strategies to ensure and motivate voters for future elections.
