Athens MLK Jr. Parade and Music Fest 2018

“We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools” Martin Luther King Jr.

Monday, January 15, 2018, United Group of Artists in collaboration with Athens Anti-Discrimination movement-non-profit partner will host the 2nd Annual Athens MLK Day Parade and  Music Fest. This event is designed to stimulate culture and diversity within Downtown Athens, improve race relations, and encourage local residents to stand in solidarity to celebrate justice and equality for all. The  vision of Martin Luther King Jr  “I Have A Dream.”

What to expect at Athens MLK Parade and Fest?

Honoree ceremony, guest speakers, live performances, food vendors, family activities and much more. 

The parade begins 3 pm, honoree ceremony and festivities will follow 4:00-6:00. Local citizens, business owners, community leaders, and non-profit organizations is welcomed to participate.  Parade participants must walk in a unified group.
