Athens Black Market is designed to encourage Black entrepreneurship and to provide an opportunity for minority business owners to generate an income while serving the community. Our goal is to create a more diverse and inclusive community, combat poverty, achieve economic justice, and reduce the racial wealth gap. To create an equitable community we must encourage our local government to create space and allocate funds that is designated to support and stimulate black and minority business ownership.
Athens Black Market will be held the last Saturday of each month starting July 29th thru November 2017.
What to Expect: Soul and Caribbean food vendors, clothing, artwork, kid-friendly items, youth vendors. Live performances, games, and activities for kids and much more.
Vendor Requirements: This is an outdoor event and all vendors are required to have quality products, great customer service, and must bring their own 8×10 table and tent. Bottled water or alcohol not allowed to be sold.
Doors open 2pm
